How to Build a Schedule You Won't Hate

01Know Your Own Clock

If you're not a morning person, an 8am is going to lose. You'll sleep through it or sit there absorbing nothing, and either way you paid for it. So be honest about when your brain actually works.

02Leave Gaps, Not Traps

You want a little breathing room to eat and reset between classes. What you don't want is a random three-hour gap that swallows your whole afternoon. Aim for small pockets, not traps.

03Vet the Professor

Same class, two professors, completely different semester. Read the reviews on RateMyProfessor before you lock anything in. The professor matters way more than the course title.

04Balance the Hard With the Easy

Don't stack every weed-out class into one semester just to get them over with. That gets you over with. Pair a hard one with something lighter so finals week isn't five impossible exams at once.

05Build In a Life

Leave room for the stuff that makes college worth it: a club, the gym, your friends, sleep. The most impressive schedule on paper is usually the one that burns you out by midterms.

06Have a Plan B Ready

Registration moves fast and your perfect section will fill up while you're still reading the description. Build a backup before your window opens, so you can swap in plan B calmly instead of rebuilding everything.

The best schedule isn't the one that looks impressive on your screenshot. It's the one you don't resent by October.

Add/drop deadlines, club fairs, and everything worth putting on your calendar? It's all on Blast.
